Current Status of the "Scene" Master Key
First, an apology. I have not entered the blog for a while, primarily because of chamba and school. But now try to make the world aware of the PS3 otZcuro.
Well, this has moved very fast. Since the last post I posted about the release of the Ps3 masterkeys, everything has been a see-low for the PS3.
When it seemed that the last console Sony had given up by the ears and that their protection was not possible by any means, SONY solved everything by 2 routes: one for software (last update of the PS3, the 3.56) and the other legal. SONY
sued Team Geoh0t and tread it Overfl0w by moving the PS3 where they ought not and for publishing the tools to do so, forcing these hacks through a court order not to continue publishing / developing these tools.
The latest update covers (for now), the security flaws revealed by the Team Overfl0w, but as defendants are not able to launch a solution, that only until their legal situation is resolved.
Now, on the other side. Rain "Custom Firmware (CFW) has become a popular practice, making it very dangerous for our console, as there CFW that do not cause damage to the PS3 and not use more helping to PSJailbreak dongles, others (such as Waninkoko) leaving the PS3 on a brick, which until it was impossible to repair.
If you are using a CFW, I strongly recommend 2: Hermes CFW (3.41), which does not give you the ability to use onlie, but has been marked as the most stable of all. The other is recommended for Kameaw CFW (3.55), with whom and doing some manual changes to the DNS's console, you can use the PS3 Online. The latter is also very stable.
There is also the latest version of CFW Waninkoko, which is also in version 3.55. So time is reported that no bricks have been found and is much more stable than its priemera version, but even so, I leave aside a rately, because this type CFW nands direcgamente in the console, and is more delicate, so best leave it rest for a while to see how mature the thing, no rush.
